THE ACADEMY OF
ARTS
is a Christian Drama and Music Ministry,
but it is much more than a Drama ministry. It is a college
as well as a summer, evangelistic drama
team, ministering in over 1000 fundamental, bible-believing churches
in 27 states to more than 50,000 people each year since its
founding in 1971. As a leading pioneer for conservative,
Christian school fine art programs, THE ACADEMY OF ARTS believes
that the arts were given to us by God and should glorify Him.
Therefore,
the entire ministry has a solid, biblical orientation in
philosophy, teaching students that they can and should
serve God with their talents. THE ACADEMY OF wholeheartedly
endorses the Christian homeschool movement
and offers Drama Camps to homeschoolers,
where the "camp comes to" their hometown! Download

Drama Camp Staff brings
the same spiritual dedication and dramatic experience to
Homeschoolers in the form of Homeschool
Drama Camps, the camp
that comes to you. |For Spiritual Impact| THE
ACADEMY OF ARTS staff has as their first concern, the
spiritual development of young people. In chapel, the staff
use music, magic, dramatic readings and strong preaching to
present the claims of Christ on the lives of elementary and
junior/senior high school young people. | For Excellence in
Directing|The Drama Camp Staff have all been professionally
trained by Dr. and Mrs. Chavers.
During the week-long Drama Camp, the Staff works in fast-paced
rehearsals, striving for excellence in blocking, characterization
and dramatic climax. | We Supply . . . The Costumes, Sets
and Equipment | THE ACADEMY OF ARTS has nearly 600
costumes in its costume collection, including Biblical,
Elizabethan, Revolutionary, Civil War. Reconstruction and
the Modern periods. The Drama Camp Staff
brings with them costumes, props, scenery and cyclorama.
They also bring professional stage lights, lighting control board
